ONLY FOR THE WEEK By Natasha Bishop

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tropes: Destination Wedding + Ex's Best Friend + Forced Proximity

The Hook:

From the very first lines, Natasha Bishop pulls you in and does not let go. Set against a dreamy resort backdrop in Tulum, this story follows Janelle Cross navigating the ultimate messy situation—her sister marrying her ex—and it delivers romance, tension, healing, and just enough chaos to feel like a vacation, a therapy session, and a love story all in one.

Why I Loved It:

The absolute standout is Rome Martin, who moves with a quiet confidence and an intentional gentleness that creates a safe space for Janelle to finally lower her guard and relax. Their chemistry brings a lot of spice, but it is beautifully balanced by soft, emotional growth as Janelle unpacks complex family dynamics and sheds her defensive walls. Combined with Evie—who is instantly one of my favorite book homegirls—this deeply immersive read completely took me out in the best way.

🌴 Final thought: Rome Martin has officially been added to my roster of book boyfriends. No debate.
